Mollie Cheney died on Sunday, December 1, 1907.

Mollie had bouts of illness for several years. She had been to Kansas City for treatments. She had operations in Gypsum. She took a turn for the worse Friday, November 29, and had an operation that day.
By Sunday, December 1, she was failing. Her husband and sons were at her side when she died a few minutes before 8 o’clock in the evening. She was age 38.

There was a funeral service at the Cheney house. Mary Belle Hestwood Cheney was buried at the Gypsum Cemetery, Block 2, Lot 45.

Mollie left behind her grieving husband Enos Ralph and her three sons Rollo, age 14, Ned, age 12, and Fred, age 10. Ralph and Mollie had been married for 15 years.
It was a difficult Christmas season. E.R. and the boys spent Christmas week with W.T. and Eliza Cheney in Groveland.

I don’t know Mollie’s cause of death. Kansas didn’t require filing death certificates until 1911.
Mollie is our 2nd great-grandmother.
