We’ve come to the end of this series of stories. We’ve followed our Maninger family from 1700s Germany to 1920 Kansas.
In our previous story, Emily Maninger graduated and became a registered nurse in 1920.

Continue readingIn 1899, Newton and Anna had been married for ten years. They were living near Aaron and Sugar Branch in Switzerland County.

Newton P. Jarvis was born October 2, 1855 in Jefferson County, Indiana. His parents were Joseph R. and Martha Ann Buchanan Jarvis. Newton was the 2nd oldest of eight children.

William Jarvis died in January 1823. He was 62.

William’s wife Margaret (5G) survived him and was living on their farm on Fork Lick Creek. Harvey (4G), age 20, had just married in 1822. Most of the other children were married and living elsewhere.
